FreeTalktm radios set to the same group mode can automatically search out and lock on to a vacant channel, allowing you to enjoy conversations free from interference.

(Communication Range Detection System)
This automatically checks to see if the person you want to talk to is within range by displaying an antenna mark on both radios if communications are possible. And, if your companion's radio moves out of range, you'll be notified with an alarm beep.

PrivacyTalk* plus Group Mode
Switch on the PrivacyTalk function and your conversations will be electronically scrambled so they can't be overheard on other FRS radios tuned to the same frequency. Also, thegroup mode allows you to chat with family and friends without hearing other FRS radio traffic.

Voice scramble mode. Allows two or more users on the Kenwood Transceivers to communicate with a bit more privacy. This system is by no means secure, but it does cut down on the ability of most scanner buffs to listen in.
Button confirmation tone may be Enabled or Disabled to operators own preference.
